MAIN ENGINE
There are Manufacturers who look to build their vessels as inexpensive as possible and then there are those who build for their target Market. These outstanding vessels are built to work every day in whatever they find and to power this craft in speeds in excess of 45 knots. To do that the Manufacturer has chosen the only engines with a pedigree for outstanding performance and that was Volvo Penta. Using the latest technology available they have managed to maximise the power and at the same time reduce consumption and co2 emissions making these vessel not only F A S T but also environmentally friendly at the same time.

The Volvo PentaD12 is a 6 cylinder 4 stroke engine with 131mm Bore x 150mm Stoke cylinders operating around the 2000rpm to deliver 650 BHP. This may sound impressive but it is even more so when you consider this vessel has not one but 2 x 650 BHP (2 x 485kW). The power is transmitted down through the ZF 325A gearboxes to the drive system.

To power at such speeds in all weathers requires the drive units to be virtually indestructible and that is what the manufacturers have managed to achieve by using ZF Minirex60 surface Propulsion System. This system is fully controlled and synchronised by ZF Cruise Command system. The power is finally delivered by the two SPS of Italy 5 blade surface piercing propellers.

Designed by Gianpero Lazzarone, this Deep V – planning hull with its combination of drive allows it to operate safely at speed in almost any weather. The extra strength in the hull comes from its method of construction. The advanced composite hull is partially vacuum applied with a monolithic GRP structure. Manufactured to Navy rules, these vessels are finished in an Isophtalic gelcoat which is painted RAL 7000 – Navy Grey. There is a 12mm D shape Fendering system all round the vessel.

Although this vessel is designed for Military use it also has a Stainless Steel handrail around the boat for personnel to have greater safety at Sea.

However as everyone knows speed on its own is not enough. These are service vessels that are also designed to provide a very valued service where speed plays an integral part. That is why the saloon has the space for ……………………wait for it…………….ELEVEN persons. It also has an electric WC, a Galley and a sink.

The wheelhouse is also manufactured from Composite and that keeps the weight to a minimum. The windows have been strengthened by tempered and laminated glass to handle the rough treatment they will face in its service. Even the wipers are of the heavy duty pantograph type. The helm position is as you would expect an adjustable Pilot Seat.
