The boat is produced by Bluewater Boat Company in Seattle, Washington/USA, and is designed by the famous Colin Archer and William Atkins (the design is mainly inspired by Viking ships). It is a double-ender (partially tirhandil design) cutter (ketch) type sailboat with a high sea comfort ratio and high resistance to bad weather. It is a special sailboat with a story, including all journal records, photographs, and maintenance records from production (1976) to 2021. It was purchased from the wife of its first owner, David Heath (American), after his passing. He spent his life on this boat and crossed the Pacific twice and the Atlantic once with this boat, arriving in Antalya Finike in 2009. It is known by its former name ALEGRIA. The main features are as follows:It has a total length of 12.5 meters, approximately 4 meters beam, and 1.8 meters draft.
Hand-laid fiberglass hull (approximately 2cm wall thickness) with a long keel, ballast approximately 6 tons, encapsulated in the keel.
3-bladed propeller, 43 hp Kubota engine (1000 hours), 3.5/4 liters per hour at 6.5/7 knots speed.
The boat's steering system is tiller steering, with a wind-powered device that does not require an electric autopilot.
All metal fittings on the boat are made of bronze, so no rusting issues.
Garmin brand GPS/depth sounder, Quark brand WiFi-enabled AIS (you can connect to your phone or tablet with a nav program).
Sails are in good condition, protective covers renewed; additionally, there are 2 spare storm/try sails.
There are many necessary spare parts, tool kits, Newport brand diesel heater, EPIRB device, life raft, immersion suits, etc., plenty of materials on the boat.
